Fairfax, Va. – The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Orrin Hatch for U.S. Senate in Utah.
“Orrin Hatch is committed to protecting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms guaranteed to all Americans,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. “His strong dedication and voting record have earned him an “A+” rating from the NRA-PVF, and we proudly endorse him for re-election to the U.S. Senate.”
Orrin Hatch voted against President Obama’s two anti-gun Supreme Court nominees, Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, and signed two bipartisan letters opposing any international treaty by the United Nations or any other global organization that would impose restrictions on American gun owners. Senator Hatch led the fight to pass the "McClure-Volkmer Firearms Owners’ Protection Act" and has repeatedly opposed efforts to ban commonly owned firearms and to shut down gun shows. Time and again, he has stood with law-abiding gun owners against those who attempt to restrict our constitutional rights.
“Senator Orrin Hatch has demonstrated leadership in defending our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage,” continued Cox. “We urge all NRA members, gun owners, and sportsmen in Utah to vote Orrin Hatch for U.S. Senate on November 6.”
