Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Jon Runyan for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in New Jersey's 3rd Congressional District this November.
"The NRA-PVF is proud to support Jon Runyan because we know he will be a staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in New Jersey and across America," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.
Jon Runyan's commitment to preserving the Second Amendment has earned him an "AQ" rating and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.
Runyan supports national right-to-carry reciprocity and efforts to reform the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He also opposes reenacting the Clinton gun and magazine ban and believes sportsmen should have access to federally-owned or administered lands for hunting, fishing, trapping and recreational shooting.
"Jon Runyan will be a strong voice in fighting ongoing efforts by anti-gun politicians to dismantle the Second Amendment," Cox concluded. "We ask all New Jersey gun-owners and hunters to vote Jon Runyan for Congress on November 2nd."
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
