Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Mike Coffman for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Colorado's 6th Congressional District this November.
"Mike Coffman is the gun owners' and hunters' choice in this race," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "He is a solid defender of the Second Amendment and his record proves he will stand up for the rights of gun owners in Colorado and across the United States, earning him the NRA-PVF endorsement."
During his time in Congress, Coffman has consistently supported gun rights for law-abiding Americans. Coffman cosponsored the National Right to Carry Reciprocity bill, which would extend federal protection of state right-to-carry permits and licenses across the country and cosponsored legislation to force reform of the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. He also cosponsored the Firearms Interstate Commerce Reform Act that would remove several antiquated and unnecessary restrictions imposed on interstate firearms business since 1968, including interstate handgun sales. Last year, Coffman voted to allow carry license or permit holders to carry and transport firearms for self-defense in national parks and wildlife refuges. In addition, Coffman signed the pro-gun congressional brief in the McDonald case, supporting the position that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all Americans.
Mike Coffman's consistent pro-gun voting record and his tireless support of our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage have earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Colorado NRA Members and gun owners in the 6th District to vote Mike Coffman for Congress," Cox concluded.
