Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Dennis Daugaard for Governor of South Dakota this November.
Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF stated, "The National Rifle Association supports Dennis Daugaard because he is a champion and staunch defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding South Dakota gun owners."
During his time as lieutenant governor, Daugaard supported the passage of several pro-gun bills, including: Castle Doctrine; state park carry; repeal of the 48 hour waiting period on handguns; concealed carry list confidentiality; and youth and apprentice hunting.
A hunter and NRA life member, Daugaard's support for the Second Amendment as lieutenant governor has earned him an "A+" rating and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.
"On November 2nd, I ask every South Dakota NRA member and gun owner to vote Dennis Daugaard for Governor," Cox urged.
Chris W. Cox is NRA's chief lobbyist. He also serves as chairman of NRA-PVF. The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund is responsible for political candidate rankings. These are based on candidate voting records, public statements and responses to NRA-PVF questionnaires.
