Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing John Kline for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Minnesota's 2nd Congressional District this November.
"John Kline is a strong defender of the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in Minnesota and across America," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.
During his time in Congress, Kline voted in favor of allowing carry license or permit holders to carry and transport firearms for self-defense in national parks and wildlife refuges. He also cosponsored and voted for the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, which now prohibits shameless attempts to bankrupt the American firearms industry through bogus lawsuits. Kline also voted to prohibit gun confiscation during states of emergency; voted for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives Modernization and Reform Act; and voted to allow law-abiding residents in the District of Columbia to possess and use firearms for self-defense in their homes.
Additionally, Kline signed the pro-gun congressional "friend of the court" briefs in the 2008 Heller case, supporting our individual right to keep and bear arms, as well as the recent McDonald case, supporting the position that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that protects all Americans.
John Kline's record and his commitment to preserving our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage have earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Minnesota NRA Members and gun owners in the 2nd District to vote John Kline for Congress," Cox concluded.
