Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Dave Heineman for re-election as Nebraska Governor this November.
"Dave Heineman strongly supports gun owners and hunters in Nebraska," said Chris Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "His commitment to preserving the Second Amendment has earned him an 'A+' rating and the NRA-PVF's endorsement.
Governor Heineman will continue to be a strong voice in fighting ongoing attempts by anti-gun politicians to dismantle the Second Amendment. He signed legislation prohibiting municipalities from passing handgun registration of right-to-carry permit holders. He also signed legislation protecting shooting ranges in Nebraska, as well as a bill that created a mentored hunting program and lowered the minimum hunting age to preserve our hunting heritage. In addition, Heineman publicly stated his support for passage of Castle Doctrine legislation to protect the fundamental right of self-defense for Nebraskans.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Nebraska NRA members and gun owners to vote for the candidate with a proven record who will stand up for their gun rights - Dave Heineman," Cox concluded.
