Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Gary Herbert for re-election in Utah's gubernatorial race on November 2nd.
"Gary Herbert's commitment to preserving our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage has earned him the NRA-PVF endorsement," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF. "Gun owners in Utah can trust Gary to continue fighting for their Second Amendment rights."
During his time as Governor, Gary Herbert signed into law several pro-gun bills, including: a "car carry" bill that allows concealed carry in a vehicle and on a person's property without a concealed firearm permit; a "parking lot" bill to allow law-abiding citizens to keep firearms in their locked vehicles while they are parked in their employer's parking lot or others; and a "defensive display" bill to clarify how law-abiding citizens can carry and use firearms for self-defense. He also signed into law legislation to exempt from liability any property owner who allows a concealed firearm permit holder to bring a firearm onto his property.
Herbert's support for the Second Amendment has earned him an "A+" rating and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.
"On November 2nd, I urge all Utah NRA members, hunters and gun owners to vote Gary Herbert for Governor," Cox concluded.
