Fairfax, Va. -- The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Frank Kratovil for re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives in Maryland's 1st Congressional District this November.
"Frank Kratovil has earned the endorsement of the NRA-PVF because has defended the Second Amendment freedoms of law-abiding gun owners, hunters and sportsmen in Maryland and across America," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of NRA-PVF.
As a member of Congress, Frank Kratovil signed the successful pro-gun congressional amicus brief arguing that the Second Amendment guarantees a fundamental right that applies to all Americans in the McDonald case. He also voted to allow law-abiding citizens to carry firearms in national parks and wildlife refuges and cosponsored legislation to force reform at the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives BATFE). Additionally, Kratovil signed a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder stating his opposition to reinstating the failed bans on semi-automatic firearms and ammunition magazines, and he cosponsored the national right-to-carry reciprocity bill to extend federal protection of state right-to-carry licenses and permits across the country.
Frank Kratovil's record in Congress and his commitment to preserving our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage have earned him an "A" rating and endorsement from the NRA-PVF.
"On November 2, I urge all Maryland NRA Members and gun owners in the 1st District to vote Frank Kratovil for Congress," Cox concluded.
