Fairfax, Va. – On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Allen Weh for United States Senate in New Mexico.
Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Weh has earned an “AQ” rating from the NRA in the November 4, 2014 election. An “AQ” is reserved for a pro-gun candidate whose rating is based on pro-gun responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and is the highest rating a candidate can receive without a voting record on Second Amendment issues.
“In the fight to protect our Second Amendment rights, Allen Weh is one of the good guys,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “Allen is the only candidate in this race who will stand up to the Obama-Bloomberg gun control agenda. Allen understands the importance of protecting our Second Amendment freedoms and hunting heritage.”
Weh has stated his strong opposition for any anti-gun nominees for the U.S. Supreme Court, such as Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan. He also will oppose any treaty by the United Nations or any other global organization that would impose restrictions on American gun owners.Weh has also stated he strongly opposes the Obama-Bloomberg gun control agenda.
“We can count on Allen Weh to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in the U.S. Senate. The NRA encourages all gun owners and sportsmen in New Mexico to vote Allen Weh for U.S. Senate on November 4,” concluded Cox.
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime.
