Fairfax, Va. – Fairfax, Va. - On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Nathan Deal for reelection as Governor of Georgia.
Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Deal has earned an "A" rating from the NRA-PVF in the 2014 general election. An "A" rating is reserved for a pro-gun elected official who has consistently supported the NRA's position on votes of importance to gun owners and sportsmen.
"Nathan Deal signed into law the most comprehensive pro-gun legislation in Georgia history earlier this year," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. "His support helped ensure greater access for concealed carry permit holders across the state and marked a significant improvement to Georgia's self-defense laws."
Nathan Deal has a long and proven record of supporting our individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms. He believes hunting is a valuable tool for wildlife management and conservation. Deal rejects expanded licensing and registration schemes, and so-called "universal background checks."
"We can continue to count on Nathan Deal to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in Georgia," added Cox. "On behalf of the NRA's five million members, I want to thank Gov. Deal for his steadfast support of the Second Amendment and urge all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in the Peach State to vote Nathan Deal for Governor on November 4."
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
