Fairfax, Va. – On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Brian Sandoval for reelection as Governor of Nevada.
Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Sandoval has earned an “A” rating from the NRA-PVF in the 2014 general election. An “A” rating is reserved for a pro-gun elected official who has supported the NRA’s position on issues of importance to gun owners.
“As Governor, Brian Sandoval has consistently showed his commitment to the Second Amendment by signing important pro-gun reform legislation, including measures to improve Nevada’s concealed carry laws,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “He also stood up to the Obama-Bloomberg gun control agenda when he vetoed legislation that would have criminalized private transfers of firearms between life-long friends and family members without prior government approval. As former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg increasingly pushes his gun control agenda in state capitols across the country, the need for strong pro-gun governors like Brian has never been more important.”
“We can count on Brian Sandoval to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in Nevada,” added Cox. “On behalf of the NRA’s five million members, I want to thank Brian for his steadfast support of the Second Amendment and urge all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Nevada to vote Brian Sandoval for Governor on November 4.”
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
