Fairfax, Va. - On behalf of our members across the commonwealth, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Jason Miyares for attorney general and Winsome Sears for lieutenant governor of Virginia.
"Jason Miyares and Winsome Sears are strong advocates for the Second Amendment and are committed to protecting our fundamental right to keep and bear arms,” said Jason Ouimet, NRA-PVF Chairman. “They will not allow law-abiding gun owners to be used as a scapegoat for criminals and gun control."
Miyares has earned an “A” rating from NRA-PVF. That grade is reserved for legislators with a solid voting record on issues critical to NRA members and a history of supporting Second Amendment issues. While in the General Assembly, Miyares voted to block bans on commonly owned firearms, fought gun confiscation efforts, opposed restrictions to lawful carry, and fought the creation of new gun free zones.
Winsome Sears is rated "AQ" from NRA-PVF. As a small business owner and a Marine Corps veteran she has continuously demonstrated support for the Second Amendment while opposing gun bans, fighting gun confiscation schemes, and championing the right of those who follow the law to keep and bear arms.
"I want to thank both of them for their steadfast support of the Second Amendment and urge all NRA members, gun owners and sportsmen in Virginia to vote Jason Miyares for attorney general and Winsome Sears for lieutenant governor on Nov. 2," Ouimet concluded.
