• Supports Right-to-Carry – Kevin helped to spearhead the passage of H.R. 822, the National Right-to-Carry Reciprocity Act, one of the most important pieces of pro-gun legislation to come before the Congress.  This bill would ensure that law-abiding Americans with a valid concealed handgun permit would be able to carry their concealed firearms in any other state that does not prohibit concealed carry.
• Supports America’s Hunting Heritage – Kevin successfully facilitated passage of and voted for the Sportsmen’s Heritage and Recreation Enhancement (SHARE) Act, a bill that would positively impact sportsmen in California and throughout the country. Specifically, the SHARE Act would protect traditional hunting ammunition, open additional land access for hunting and fishing, and allow firearms to be legally carried on land managed by the Army Corps of Engineers.
• Opposes the Obama/Bloomberg/Clinton Gun Control Agenda – Kevin opposes the Obama/Bloomberg/Clinton agenda of banning guns, ammunition, magazines, and creating a so-called “universal” background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms which, according to the Justice Department, is only enforceable through a federal firearms registry.
• Opposes Operation Choke Point – Kevin voted for legislation that would prohibit the Obama Administration from executing an abusive practice in which the Department of Justice intimidates banks into refusing or severing financial services to legally-operated ammunition and firearms dealers. 
• Opposes Ammo Ban – Kevin signed a letter to the Obama administration opposing its flagrant attempt to ban commonly used ammunition for the most popular rifle in America, the AR-15.
• Opposes a Federal Gun Database – Kevin voted to prevent ATF from circumventing the will of Congress by centralizing records of thousands of Americans’ long gun purchases.
• Signed pro-gun Amicus Briefs – Kevin signed the pro-gun congressional “friend of the court” briefs in the Heller and McDonald cases, arguing that the Second Amendment guarantees the fundamental, individual Right to Keep and Bear Arms and that Washington, D.C.’s and Chicago’s gun bans were unconstitutional.
• Opposes Washington D.C.’s Gun Ban – Kevin voted for legislation that would repeal Washington D.C.’s draconian gun control laws and restore the right of self-defense to law-abiding individuals in our nation’s capital.
• Opposes Fast and Furious – Kevin voted to hold Attorney General Eric Holder in contempt of Congress on both criminal and civil charges for the flawed and tragic Fast and Furious scandal.
