The NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Kevin Roberts for the U.S. House of Representatives in the May 22, 2018, Republican primary runoff election in the 2nd Congressional District of Texas. Kevin has a proven pro-Second Amendment record and is committed to protecting your right to self-defense!
For the following reasons, Kevin Roberts has received our endorsement and “A” rating:
- Supports Right-to-Carry: Strongly supports Right-to-Carry Reciprocity legislation, which would ensure that law-abiding Americans with the legal right to carry concealed would be able to carry their firearm for self-defense in any other state.
- Opposes Gun Control: Strongly opposes attempts to ban guns, ammunition, magazines, and creating a so-called “universal” background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms, which is only enforceable through federal gun registration.
- Opposes Financial Barriers to Self-Protection: Voted to reduce the cost of acquiring a license to carry a handgun.
- Supports School Employees’ Right to Self-Defense: Voted for legislation that allows school employees to leave firearms stored in their locked, private motor vehicles while parked on school property.
- Supports the Hearing Protection Act: Supports legislation that would remove the excessive government red tape and onerous $200 transfer tax that accompanies the purchase of firearm suppressors. He also voted to strengthen suppressor laws in Texas.
- Opposes Backdoor Gun Ban: Strongly opposes any attempt to deny millions of Social Security recipients and veterans their Second Amendment rights without due process.
- Supports Gun Manufacturers and Dealers: Strongly supports the Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, a law that prevents the American gun industry from being sued into bankruptcy through frivolous lawsuits.
Please vote Kevin Roberts for U.S. House of Representatives on Tuesday, May 22nd, and please encourage your friends and family to do the same!
