ACTION ALERT
NRA-PVF Endorses Jeff Sessions for U.S. Senate
NRA-PVF Endorses Jeff Sessions for U.S. Senate
A+

Dear Alabama NRA Member:

The NRA Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has endorsed Jeff Sessions in the March 31st Republican Primary Runoff for U.S. Senate. Jeff has led the fight to expand Second Amendment freedoms in Alabama, and he will stand strong against the Schumer/Pelosi/Bloomberg gun control agenda in Congress.

For the following reasons, Jeff Sessions has received our endorsement and “A+” rating, the highest rating a candidate can receive from NRA-PVF:

  • Ended “Operation Choke Point” | As U.S. Attorney General, he was instrumental in ending an abusive Obama Administration program that encouraged federal financial regulators to harass and intimidate banks and financial institutions that had business relationships with firearm and ammunition retailers. By leaning on the banks, regulators hoped to choke off their cash flow and force them out of business.
  • Supports Right-to-Carry | As U.S. Senator, he cosponsored and voted for right-to-carry reciprocity legislation, which would ensure that the nearly 20 million law-abiding Americans who can carry a concealed firearm in their home state are able to do so in any other state that does not prohibit it.
  • Opposes Semi-auto Ban | Voted multiple times against Senator Dianne Feinstein’s failed semi-auto ban that would ban commonly owned semi-automatic firearms used for hunting, recreational shooting and self-defense.
  • Supreme Court Justices | Voted against anti-gun nominees Sonia Sotomayor and Elena Kagan for the U.S. Supreme Court. He will also vote to confirm pro-Second Amendment justices to the Court.
  • Opposes Criminalizing Private Firearm Transfers | Voted against the Schumer/Pelosi/Bloomberg so-called "universal" background check system that would criminalize the private transfer of firearms which, according to the Justice Department, is only enforceable through federal firearms registration.
  • Opposed the U.N. Gun Ban Treaty | Voted to uphold Second Amendment rights and prevent the United States from entering into the United Nations Arms Trade Treaty.
  • Supports Veterans’ Second Amendment Rights | Voted for legislation that would protect veterans’ Second Amendment rights.
  • Supports Firearm Manufacturers and Dealers | Voted for legislation that prevents the American firearm industry from being sued into bankruptcy through frivolous lawsuits.
