Fairfax, Va. - On behalf of our five million members across the country, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is proud to endorse Doug Ducey for Governor of Arizona.
Based on his support of and commitment to the Second Amendment, Doug Ducey has received an “AQ” rating from the NRA-PVF in the 2014 general election. An “AQ” is reserved for a pro-gun candidate whose rating is based on pro-gun responses to the NRA-PVF Candidate Questionnaire and is the highest rating a candidate can receive without a voting record on Second Amendment issues.
“Doug Ducey will be a steadfast ally in the fight to protect our constitutional Right to Keep and Bear Arms," said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “Doug’s opponent is a supporter of Michael Bloomberg's gun control agenda. There is a clear choice for those who value their freedom in the Grand Canyon State - Doug Ducey.”
Ducey is on record rejecting expanded licensing and registration schemes and so-called “universal background checks.” He supports legislation to clarify and streamline Arizona’s self-defense statutes. He will also work for stronger shooting range protection laws. In addition, Ducey is a true believer in Arizona’s hunting and sportsmen’s heritage.
“We can count on Doug Ducey to stand up for our constitutional freedoms in the Grand Canyon State. The NRA encourages all gun owners and sportsmen in Arizona to vote Doug Ducey for Governor on November 4,” concluded Cox.
Established in 1871, the National Rifle Association is America's oldest civil rights and sportsmen's group. More than five million members strong, NRA continues to uphold the Second Amendment and advocates enforcement of existing laws against violent offenders to reduce crime. The Association remains the nation's leader in firearm education and training for law-abiding gun owners, law enforcement and the armed services.
