Dear Senate District 8 NRA Member:

The Texas Primary Election is on Tuesday, March 6!  That means plenty of last-minute “fake news” regarding the records and positions of pro-gun candidates on Second Amendment issues is coming your way via relatively unknown firearms groups with questionable motives. 

The latest target is Senate District 8 candidate Angela Paxton, who returned a perfect NRA-PVF candidate questionnaire and has received an “AQ” rating because of her strong stance against state gun control measures and in support of your right to protect yourself and your family both inside and outside the home.  An organization calling themselves “Texas Gun Rights” recently sent an attack piece out on her, falsely implying that she supports federal legislation imposing restrictions on our Second Amendment rights.  Never mind that Angela is running for state office and would never even have the chance to vote the issues on which they're attacking her!

"Fake news" from groups which don't do their homework and who deliberately try to mislead voters on candidates' position on firearm issues do a disservice to the gun community.  Please remember this as you go to the polls on Tuesday, March 6.
