Important Primary Election Information For New Mexico Gun Owners |
Dear New Mexico NRA Member: NRA-PVF candidate ratings and endorsements for the New Mexico Primary Election will be available soon at http://www.nrapvf.org. You'll want to check the NRA-PVF website out to be sure you know where the candidates stand on issues of importance to gun owners and sportsmen! Beginning today, Monday, April 27, New Mexico County Clerks will be mailing an application for an absentee ballot to each primary voter. This will not be an actual absentee ballot but an application for one. This additional procedure is the result of a recent New Mexico Supreme Court ruling on how voting in the June 2 Primary Election will be conducted. You do not need a reason to vote absentee by mail ballot in this election. You may also request an absentee ballot in the following manner:
Absentee voting begins on Tuesday, May 5. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is May 28. All absentee ballots may be returned to your County Clerk’s Office or any Primary Election Day polling location no later than 7:00 PM on June 2. Early in-person voting will continue to be an option in each county, running from Saturday, May 16-Saturday, May 30. Please check locations and hours of operation by contacting your County Clerk’s Office. Information on Tuesday, June 2, Primary Election Day polling locations can also be found on your County Clerk’s Office website. Keep this information handy as we move into Primary Election season during these uncertain and unique circumstances! Sincerely, NRA-PVF |
